Router Sample 1

This section has instructions to cut a sample part for your router using basic cutting concepts.

 

We are now going to operate Router-CIM.  Start Autocad, and OPEN the DOOR1 drawing (Door1.dwg), then load your machines knowledge base by selecting the Router-CIM button from the toolbar.  This is the first button in the toolbar.

The Router-CIM Configuration Wizard appears.

Select Database, and then choose your machine from the list of available choices.  See the Application Notes that came with the post processor for more information about your machine configuration.  The Application Notes should have been copied to your desktop during the post processor installation.

Once your machine is selected from the list, click on the OK button and Router-CIM will load up your application and make Router-CIM ready to work with this drawing.  You will see some prompts flash by the command line in AutoCAD, but the last one declares the system ready to run with your machine.  Pressing F2 in AutoCAD will get you the text screen that shows the last few lines like this:

Press F2 again to get back to the graphics screen.  We are now ready to begin using Router-CIM to make tool paths and code for our part.
